1955: "New Look! New Life! New Everything!"
With its powerful new V-8 and sensational styling, Chevy converted its image from dull and dependable to "The Hot One!" Not only was it the most changed Chevy since the war, but also the most exciting car ever to wear the bow-tie badge.
A revolutionary new engine and handsome new styling put Chevrolet back at the top in 1955. In a record Detroit year, Chevrolet led the industry with over 1.7 million cars, a new marque high and a quarter-million vehicles better than Ford.

1956: "Loves to Go... And Looks It!"
The ad said, "The Hot One's Even Hotter!" And it was, with up to 255 horsepower and new styling that featured a bold, full-width grille. Not surprisingly, Chevy had no trouble maintaining its customary position as America's favourite automobile.
1957 Chevrolet Products
1957: "Sweet, Smooth, and Sassy!"
The superbly restyled '57 debuted the now-famous 283-cubic inch small-block V-8. Chevy ads boasted that it developed "1 h.p. per cu. in." with Ramjet fuel injection. The '57 is coveted not only as the last of the "classic" Chevys - but also the best.
